Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure that reduces the appearance of vascular blemishes, spider veins and broken blood vessels. The treatment involves injecting a special solution into the vein that damages and scars the inside lining of the vein, which causes the vein to close. The procedure is relatively quick and simple. We provide this treatment right in our office and it generally takes less than 30 minutes – depending on the amount of veins to be treated. We also make sure our patients are as comfortable as possible during the treatment. There is no recovery period, but we do recommend that our patients take it easy for a few days and wear compression stockings for a short period of time. More than one treatment may be required for best results.
