Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are a quick way to improve the skin’s appearance by reducing the presence of fine lines, wrinkles and blemishes. By removing superficial layers of skin, smoother, clearer, younger-looking skin can shine through. Available in a wide variety of strengths and formulas, chemical peels can be superficial, mild, medium-depth, or deep, and can address acne, acne scarring, melasma, aging skin, and sun damage, in addition to many other skin imperfections. Did you know that peels can also reduce your risk of developing skin cancer?

SkinMedica Illuminize Peel

Often described as the “Red Carpet Peel,” the Illuminize Peel delivers an instant glow, with no downtime. This multi-acid, multi-enzyme peeling solution is suitable for all skin types. Those with a wide range of skin imperfections will notice a visible improvement from the IlluminizePeel.

The Illuminize Peel will enhance your skin’s glow and radiance, and improve the skin’s tone and texture. This is the recommended peel treatment for first-time peel patients or patients looking for immediate results with no downtime.

SkinMedica Vitalize Peel

The Vitalize Peel is the most popular SkinMedica peel, and restores a smooth skin texture and youthful glow.

For anti-aging, melasma, sun damaged, and acne prone skin, the Vitalize Peel contains a proprietary blend of ingredients to help rejuvenate the skin. Visible improvement is achieved after one treatment, with optimal results after a series of treatments.
The Vitalize Peel combines resorcinol, lactic, salicylic, and retinoic acid (at the Medical Aesthetician’s discretion), which provide dramatic improvement in texture and tone. The renewal process stimulates a 55% increase in collagen production, improves pigmentation, acne, and melasma. Safe for all skin types, the skin appears healthier and more youthful with minimal downtime. (There may be 2 to 3 days of flaking.) For best results a series is recommended.

SkinMedica Rejuvenize Peel

The strongest of the SkinMedica peels, the Rejuvenize Peel provides deep rejuvenation for skin needing significant correction. Tighter, younger, clearer skin will be noticeable after one treatment.

The Rejuvenize Peel is an effective treatment for those with sun damage, melasma, pigmentary changes and acne scarring, with noticeable improvements occuring after the first peel. Multiple layers of damaged skin peel away with each application, best results are usually achieved after a series of 3 to 6 treatments.

Formulated with a built-in anti-irritant and penetration enhancer, there is a reduction of skin irritation usually associated with stronger chemical peels, without diminishing the end result. Despite the strength of this peel, it is well tolerated with minimal downtime. (There may be up to 4 to 5 days of flaking.)

ZO Ossential Stimulator Peel

Also known as the “lunchtime peel” because there is no recovery time needed afterward and there is little or no redness and peeling afterwards, just a nice glow!

This peel uses a combination of three effective exfoliating ingredients: salicylic, lactic and citric acid to remove dead skin cells and superficial imperfections revealing brighter, clearer skin underneath.

It is recommended to book a course of 3-6 treatments, 2-3 weeks apart to maximize results, but even one treatment will leave the skin looking refreshed and glowing.

ZO 3-Step Stimulation Peel

A highly effective treatment for the many signs of skin aging, this peel is ideal for treating melasma, sun damage, fine lines, uneven texture, large pores, dull skin, and even acne!

Step 1 is the application of the peel solution to exfoliate the skin.

Step 2 is the application of the Stimulating Retinol Creme that works to stimulate cellular function at a deep level for collagen enhancement, firming, and wrinkle reduction.

Step 3 is the application of Calming Creme that works to minimize inflammation and irritation that may result from the first two steps, as well as restore the moisture balance of the skin.
